has anybody gotten a new iMac and opted for the new Fusion drives? I'm probably going to get a new iMac soon and i'm wondering what the best bet is. Looks like Apple doesn't offer SSD's anymore for these, so it's either a Fusion or typical SATA.

I have the 3TB fusion. This iMac handles everything super-speedy. I don't wait for anything. They also offer the Flash Drives, those are prolly best. Maybe get an external SSD for the additional storage, such as this >

Cool. I'm leaning towards the Fusion, but just wasn't sure. I'm a fairly intensive Creative Suite user, and I had read a few reviews that Fusion wasn't necessarily ideal for "pro users" (whatever that means).
I guess really all I need to know is if it's more reliable and faster than a SATA.

I hear the Fusion drive may cause issues if you try to use Bootcamp and Windows, but that may have been cleared up by now.
- no desire to use bootcamp, just doing some heavy-lifting graphics stuff thoughoohtruck

anybody worked on video stuff directly on the fusion drive. Colouring editing anything like that? I'm currently considering the imac as a possible davinci resolve machine and not sure weather to get the cheaper larger capicity fusion drive or spend the extra money on the 1TB SSD
