Ill say that if you get this through - its a big deal and you deserve the accolades, adoration and awards that will come to you.
I think what most people have a problem with, around here - ironically - is a 'packaging' issue. You come into this forum, share the work, but speak about it like its the 10 commandments. You're not looking for advice. You're not looking for a critique. You're looking to show off. This is, I believe, is still a designer's forum. We post work and hope that it becomes critiqued (listening to any and all is another thing - but showing some gratitude that people took the 5-20 minutes out of their day to give you objective insight into a project of yours is just... Courteous).
Your attitude of 'fuck the world' if you disagree with me isn't going to make you a lot of friends here or out there. I actually like the bubble design. It's neat - feels fresh. I'd love to pay my $100+ dollars and get something like that at the end of the transaction. its a great value-added product - and it performs that service Really well. I just wish you took as much time to craft the packaging of your pitch and language here as you did the shoebox.
Take care!

Cirquemedia, here's my two-penneth on everything I've read over the threads you've posted on this subject:
I don't know about your designs and I've never been a position to really give shoe boxes a second thought, I don't know how revolutionary they are or how easy they are to protect as intellectual property. That's your area of expertise so I'll bow to your greater knowledge on this. BUT, what I can say is you need to find yourself a partner (or employ a person) who can represent you. A business angel, a PR type or a decent salesperson who can take your work (this product and any other ideas you have on the slate) and sell both the designs and yourself. You need to find this and quick.
I know you make the request for anyone who can help you sell it on your web site, but I mean do it seriously - set up some meetings, go to some networking events etc. Meet some people and offer money or equity to communicate what you want to achieve on your behalf.
Quite simply you don't come across well in this situation. The way you're throwing these accusations around the internet is massively unprofessional (until one of these multi-national companies puts the box out there they are just accusations) and the language you use to try to get across your points is ill-conceived at best. You may be very good at getting across your point in person but everything I've read that you've written makes you sound like a petulant and arrogant guy that would be very difficult to deal with in a business relationship.
I think a person who has a background in selling ideas, promoting concepts or talent could be just what you need.

Someone should just send this entire thread over to the CDs for Addidas and connect the dots. If Chris Darmon is this showboat's real name, then the "Chris learns what an NDA is" episode on Sesame Street is aired. If not, the troll gets dis-spelled to great satisfaction.

I like this latest incarnation of Hedge. It's entertaining, in a look-down-from-above sort of way.

The Entire System:

http://www.chrisdarmon.com/NEW-R…Adidas is reconsidering... Surprise, surprise... I'll let you know when this sells Orazel.
- Adidas is reconsidering... maybe not if they read some of the anti-addidas design team rants! :S23kon

i've done the same thing for packaging systems. make sure you have signatures in place, or they WILL take your work and have someone else make it for mad cheap.
we sold converse a nice new paper material no one else had (only reason we made money), and i think converse/puma does a cool shoe box that's more integrated with a nonwoven plastic bag.

I'm not sure what you expect, man. Do you want us to bow down and say "we're not worthy"? All you're doing is designing packaging for a potential client; you're not unique or special in this. Sure, it's slightly unique, good, that's what design is. Yes, it's good to be happy that you might have something that a brand wants to use, but no need to make it out to be more than it is. Sure, you might get screwed over, but what's the point of screaming about it on here over and over again? Good for you, good luck, but stop fighting with people if they're not THAT impressed. To most of us, this is simply called work.

It almost feels like you're fighting some one-sided battle in your head. Nobody here is from Adidas, we're not trying to steal your stuff. You treat every one of us as if we are actively trying to squash your concepts, when in fact we just wish you would keep your head down and do the right thing. This is why people are making fun of you, you are coming off really clownish.
- I suspect he got told once by a CD he worked for that he wasn't a good fit. Has been trying to prove himself ever since.Continuity
- That is, if he's not actually Hedge. Which I'm still leaning towards. :DContinuity

I am currently "BANNED FOR LIFE" from working at Adidas... No joke... I'll post the email!!!! I said some not nice things to a few teammates! surprise, surprise... They still want my shoebox! Hilarious... I kid, I kid... I love Adidas, just not certain people and certain scenarios. I truly am banned for life right now for not giving them this idea... :) Don't be me like me, be nice, hug and kiss everyone, the world is a small place.
