logo for visually impaired

Has any one here been asked to modify a company logo for use only for the visually impaired?
I've been made request to do this but it's not to replace the exiting one it's to have it as an additional alternative for use on business cards.
They are asking me to change the logo drastically to the point that the original logo and this new one will be so different. One will be the ugly twin.
any thoughts or insights?

Emboss the logo so they can use their sense of touch instead of vision.

Citibank not sure if it still available. ATM used to have option if you click on one of the corners.
