I like it a lot actually., it reminds me of something I can't put my finger on though.
I prefer the rounded 'y' of the second version.
- I think it reminds me of a beer brandset
- reminds me of a parts manufacturer, industrial or automotivemonospaced
- Maybe I've been drinking too much lately... hmmmvoiceof
- agree with all statements. It's nice but looks like a beer brand.moniker

I concur with set
- we seem to be agreeing quite a lot lately, what's happened!

A couple more questions while everyone is feeling helpful:
What about the weight; should it be thinner?
Does the counter in the 'e' seem a bit tight?
Do you think rounding the corners slightly will work better for the tech industry?
I was thinking about pairing it with Stag Sans and an undecided serif (maybe merriweather http://www.google.com/fonts/spec…). What do you think?

Is the C too short?
- The 'l' in olsen is higher than the 'C' I brought it down some maybe I should come down some morevoiceof
- the font was designed like this, you can either honor that or "fix" itmonospaced
- the 'y' might come down too, to optically align with the curved tops of the 'e' and 'o' toomonospaced

Weight looks good.
Yes, counter in 'e' is a bit tight, but only very slightly.
Rounded corners not necessary.
Stag Sans seems too stylized to complement. Look for something simpler, perhaps in the Frutiger family (looks-wise).

FF Info Sans might be a great complement to this wordmark. Same font foundry and a versatile font family to boot.

I could see 'FF Info' working for the body copy.
Right now I'm thinking the supporting materials are going to be typographically driven so I want to find a display face that has some personality.

I like the sharp edge of the Y in the first one but the slant is wrong. If you could align the inside slant with the E it would work. The roundness if the Y in the second one fills the space correctly but it's not structural enough.
I also like the outside slant of the first Y tapering inwards more than the straight up and down of the second Y's outside slant.

Try having the top of the C, the macro, and the top of the L align. Or, have the macron rise above both.
I prefer the curved Y, but there's something off about it... Maybe opening up the E's counter will change that, because I think it's the contrast from tight/compact E to open Y that's throwing me.

Thanks for everyone's comments. I'm going to try out a few of the suggestions and post back later.

Nice. made me think of Axel Foley.

#2 In my opinion, the weight is good. The curved Y is good it balances the whole word since it seems the E is taking more of the weight. Great to see great comments. :-)

Lovely work. Nice weight. Agree with mono that the C could be a little taller, and perhaps the serifs pointing back into the word is what's making the y uncomfortable? Very minor points though. Reminds me of Brown's National Interpreting Service identity, also a good thing!
