Looking into getting my DNA Mapped & I was ondering if any QBNers have done this. I have found a lab that does it for $99.00 and they send me a kit and all I have to do is spit into a tube and mail it back to them then I access a droid application or website for results.
Anyone do this? Is it fake? Worth the $99 to see lineage, disease risks etc?

Yeh, I've done it, it was really good actually, I'd recommend it.
It listed the most likely diseases I might get, and I had them (psoriasis, etc..), and also the chances more or less than average that I might contract a whole host more - very useful to know.
Also gave info on where my maternal DNA was sourced (near the Black Sea, central asia), various drugs that I might be resistant or over-sensitive to - a real thought-provoking bundle of data.
And on the site I had it done by 23andme.com, there are innumerable surveys you can take part in to help fill in the data between 'actual people' and the genetics. You can also find 'relatives', 3rd, 4th,5th cousins, etc. I thought it was great.- Awesome. This was the lab I was gonna use so thanks!teh

23andme.com here too
You can download the mapped snp's in a file afterwards + there are different dna analysis tools outside of 23andme, heritage related are the more interesting ones
