In the upcoming months I am going to be responsible for developing four different websites for four different countries.

Would flat design be ideal for this? Is it modular enough to use for a template? I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.

But I do understand the objective - to design a modular template that works on handheld devices.

It would seem lame to develop one website and duplicate it three more times, am I right, or am I wrong?

Build a standard template and use colour, photography, etc. to globalize it bud; 4 colours that come to mind are red, green, blue and yellow.

Flat design is a shit term for geometric aesthetic; design what is appropriate based on the brand. If it is circular use circles, square use squares.

    Logic is your best friend.

    ; )

    • I'll prob use the colors that work best within each country.canoe

    Dev Part:
Key is to separate Design from Content. You want to code the site 1 time and make sure the content is loaded dynamically depending on the language.

    Design Part:
The difficulty is with the variations in length of text from language to language. good design will consider this, while bad design will use the most suitable for the designer (ignoring the developer's nightmare that will follow).

Oh, here I thought flat design slash development meant that the content conforms to the device, screen, easily. Hmmm
