Hey folks
I need some advice on how one would set up a partnership with a few people.
My main issue is how do you determine how revenue is split.
what happens when a project(s) only requires some of the partners and not all?
does anybody have a model in place that has worked?

is it a coop?
- and how are your "few" people broken down (titles)... i don't have a model but know of a successful one
ohhhhhsnap - example: quilted . coop (URL) they are a successful cooperativeohhhhhsnap

Estimate projects out hourly then pay accordingly?

if it's a cooperative then there would be a money split (is my understanding, because you all own it- there's no hierarchy) if not, ^

i have a 50/50 partnership with my friend... a duel ownership LLC. We split all proceeds 50/50 (with some going to expenses and business things).
We figured if only one person is working on a paying gig the other is working on in house shit so both would get paid for doing work.
- Legalzoom is great for these sorts of things... I would recommend an LLC.Knuckleberry
- Yeh - you're both going to be working full-time on shit, all day, every working day, so I guess it evens out.mikotondria3

My friend told me that Jewish people have the right to claim the highest of percentages in any partnership. They have to get the largest piece of the pie. The rest goes to the gentiles— Christians, and others. To others, this looks like that they do not like to share, but it is just part of their religion.
