Would be wise to study more about z-index if you plan to use alternate position types in your style sheet.

Also you keep declaring your font stack inline.
"font-family:Georgia, 'Times New Roman', Times, serif;"
You only need to do it once on an appropriate parent. If that's the stack for the whole page/site than do it in the body tag. Or in the site container/wrapper tag.
