3 big businesses own the water in water bottles. (sounds like it could be the same 3 people who own the world?)

Nobody care, they do what they want, like it or not it doesn't matter.
Rich get richer, humanity is going down, and we deserve it.

Stop with the ad hominem attacks, it's not like he's going to cry himself to sleep because you find him old, evil or ugly.
Anyone with a hint of common sense knows the next war is going to be potable water wars, his only mistakes was to say it out loud when they've been silently buying aquifers around the world for the past 20 years, coca cola did it, pepsi co did it, nestle did it, the list is long, you want to do something boycott

- If no one buy coca cola, there will be coca cola anymore. We, make them who they are. Boycott.ApeRobot

He is not a dick! What he said is, that humans need 5L of water/day to drink and 20L/day for basic hygiene. This makes 1.5% of the worlds water needs. What he wants is a price for the 98.5% of water being used by the industry so no human individual has to pay for water!
- offcourse he forgot to mention that the cost will trickle down in everyday productsGeorgesIV

WTF is next? oxygen?

Mekk knows.
'water as a right' means that water gets abused by big business and agrocorps. if something doesn't have value - who gets to use it most? Carbon emission was 'a right' until recently - is that a good idea, or a bad one, you think?
If governments are left to control water but have no profit incentive, inefficiencies and waste and preference kicks in, hence why a lot of water charities support utility privatisation in second and third world economies - it means that people, poor people, get access to clean water and sanitation services.
Have a listen to this - it states the case much better than I ever could..http://www.guardian.co.uk...

boycott is the funniest word you can say.
like a few people not buying a product changes shit...
I "boycotted" coca cola as a result of "boycotting" caffeine.
both industries seem to be doing well without my money regardless of my attempts to inform others of the detriment caused by their repeated use.-
responsible citizens should band together to buy a public water source and lobby to protect it... but then that will be work and administration will want compensated for their efforts as well as those performing the maintenance will need compensated for their time and provided the necessary equipment to complete said tasks... Even in a free society, the people will still need governed... as these people give up their freedom for the conveniences that are "given" to them.
the reason "the people" lose, is because "the people" are lazy.
it's easier to become a rich individual capable of consuming whatever product you deem appropriate than to be poor and try to tell the "powers that be" how "things should be done" for "the good of the people".
but hey it's easy to be a lazy bleeding heart.

Privatizing all fresh water means it will end up being owned by the same multinational industries and agro-corps you wanted to pay for the water they use.
I agree they shouldn't have carte blanche when it comes to diverting rivers, using them as dumping sites, siphoning off the water table for manufacturing, etc, but this Nestlé douchebag is advocating something with very bad consequences.
