When I go into the itunes/app store settings and sign into my apple id, it works fine.
When I go to the app store and try to update my apps, there is a completely different apple id there (my old apple id) that I'm unable to change, and therefore unable to update any of my apps.
Why does this not see the apple id that Im signed in with on the phone in the itunes/app store settings??

This happened to my wife too about a year ago. I think I eventually just wiped the iPhone and started from scratch.

I found out what happened. My old apple id was just a username, with its own password. Apple forced me to change it to an email address, which has a different password, but the old one still exists.
Well I downloaded those apps using the old id and they are forever tied to it, they cant be changed to the new one unless deleted and redownloaded while signed in with the new id.
So to update them I had to sign out and sign in with the old one, then update it.
Steve Jobs would not approve of this user experience. Just awful. How the F would a normal person who isnt tech savvy figure this out??
