I'm curious why your clients are put off by the word freelance. Not only is it the right word, but it's completely accepted in the business world. Is there some sort of stigma growing around freelancing now, and we need a euphemism to cover up the growing stink of rancid freelance?
Meh.
How this:

matchmaking of solving a client problem?
Sometimes it is better to get feed back from the potential client then the art side.
A client usually wants something solved and the method isnt always important. if you think from the client side maybe include a sense of problem solving into the name.
Maybe you need a think more about the brand. what problems you are trying to solve? also the emotions and perceptions you want to create for the target audience.
From my perception a name comes from the foundation of business objectives, more of strategy foundation etc. solves alot of issues in the process.
