Sorry, I may come across as an insensitive prick, but I really hate the 'woe is me' attitude. It's sad, but far out...you got into a line of work that pays shit money and the business model is no good. Welcome to the real world.
There's thousands and thousands of people who have lost their homes, gone bankrupt, been left peniless, had to deal with poor health...death. You name it.
Life isn't always fair.

Considering he's asking us to donate, I think he should be clearer. I'm guessing it's some legal squabble with a major font retailer/licenser, but then again maybe not.
I don't mind helping a brother out, but be clear what you're saying.
