Looks good except Band of Horses, Japandroids, Spiritualized and Dead Can Dance should be hire up on the line up.
I was looking forward to this, but Meh
What does it say about the state of music when the headlining acts are all either throw backs from 20 years old (Blur, Stones Roses, Chili Peppers) or 10 years ago (Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Modest Mouse, Postal Service)?
Sounds like a sack of shit, but how many bands do you normally get to see at a festival anyway? I'm usually wankered by early evening, wallowing in my own piss and sick!
Roni Size would be cool.
great lineup - wish i was going
oh well, will have to settle for watching the stone roses live in UK :)
would have gone 15 years ago
Horribly outdated line up. Do not want.
I just noticed that the Violent Femmes are listed. I'm pretty excited about that mostly because last time they got together someone was making a rockumentary about the band last time they got together but they broke up again the the film was shelved.
I hate music festivals
Any of you going weekend one? All these bitches can cry about the line up. I am goin to have a good time!
I will be doing visuals on the second weekend.
I wasn't planning on going because they force you to buy 3 day tix which is lame, but I'll guess I'll be there...
Besides Scratch Lee Perry and Roni Size, I think the only act I'm really interested in seeing is C2C
Rumor is that Daft Punk will be surprise guest w a new show.
The XX are like watching paint dry live. Great for headphones and background music, but I thought I was going to lose my mind seeing their guitarist pretty much play one guitar string with only one finger for an entire set at Lolla a few years ago.
- who's XX?Miguex
- They are: http://www.youtube.c…mg33
- good music. but not outdoor festival caliber IMOmg33
- I see, not my cup of tea. at least that songMiguex
- well, technically this is sort of an indie/ rock (ish) festival right?Miguex
- they're just not loud enough or big enough sound.mg33
I'd rather have kidney stones. Vapid shit.
This version is better
8 More Types of People at Coachella
Electronic Music Snobs
"There are some amazing electronic acts coming to Coachella this year and they’re bringing along some of the most annoying fans on the planet. These people think they’re better than you because they buy their songs on Beatport instead of iTunes. And they call them, “tracks,” not songs. They love a group until they’re popular then resent them for their modest success. They think certain styles of dance music are objectively superior to others but they don’t much care for dancing. Electronic music snobs are the worst, they're basically the latest iteration of the hipster. Look, leaving comments on SoundCloud doesn’t make you a founding member of Kraftwerk and “Future Bass Glitch” isn’t a genre just because you say so. Relax. Maybe just stay at home critiquing Boiler Room sets if you can’t handle hanging out in a crowd without being a smarmy dick."
I'd rather eat my own feet than go to that - looks worse than V Fest.
