You can always customize keyboard shortcuts in Photoshop (Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts) but spacebar gives you a hand tool and command turns the pen tool to a move tool the same way Illustrator does.

the command key does work the same

Got the command tool sorted, back to the spacebar functionality, as far as I can tell you cannot physically move the points in the same way that you can in illustrator on the fly, so I cannot assign a shortcut, is this the case?
- use the command keymonospaced
- what? i don't really get what you're saying... yes you can customize shortcuts.pango
- and the command key lets you reposition individual points WHILE you're drawingmonospaced

If you have illustrator, create two points, curve between them, don't let go of the mouse button on the 2nd point, now press the space bar and move the move the mouse around, this feature I use constantly when illustrating, very useful, for some reason I cannot do this PS.

side note. that adobe nav app for the ipad is nice for switching pen tools in photoshop
