Also. It's Mac. Not MAC.
Options are limited but not like in the past. With bootcamp you can run any pc game you want too.
Windows Xbox controllers work perfectly too on macs.

The Humble Bundle is cross platform and incredible value. Limbo (as mentioned above) is great too. http://limbogame.org/

If you have installed Steam, Team Fortress 2 is a great game and is free. Even though it's pretty old, there are still a lot of people who play it. i sink at least a half-hour a day into that game and love it.
But it's multiplayer only, no missions or anything like that.

Also, check out Good Old Games (GOG.com) - they've started selling some Mac-compatible games lately. Obviously it's all older stuff, but there are still some gems like Sim City 2000.

I love Myth...still play it on my G3 / OS 8-ish...we used to play it on the network at Uni. After a while we'd all get bored trying to find each other and someone would shout 'I'm by the trees in the middle...." and everyone would pile in for a massive fight.
We did the same with Starcraft...
Ah....those were the days...
