[ ] Serif A — http://cloud.smallparade.com/LzC…
[ ] Serif B — http://cloud.smallparade.com/LzF…
[ ] Serif C — http://cloud.smallparade.com/Lyu…Which serif do you prefer, and why? For the body text, not the toolbar at the top. Appreciate any feedback!

C is the most easily read.

I like A.
I don't think you should have the first six words all caps. With the initial drop cap, that seems like overkill.
- This is a pretty traditional technique that feels applicable to me.autonoma
- Two Cents: I like the small caps in the first line, I think it gives the text a nice literary feel.eoin
- These are standard layout typog techniques going back years, learn them :)mikotondria3

I'd italicize the exclamation marks too.
- And hyphenate reddish brown.eoin
- And that's an en dash between long and haired when it should be a hyphen.eoin
- The en dash is a stylistic choice, not a mistake.autonoma
- Sorry, I don't agree, a hyphen is a hyphen and a dash is a dash. By all means toggle between en and em dashes where a dash is required but a hyphenated word requires a hyphen.eoin
- ... required but a hyphenated word requires a hyphen.eoin
- Unless neither word modifies the other; e.g. "love–hate".eoin

A is more efficient. I'd prefer more line-height, after which my opinion might change, but I don't think so, A had better rhythm.

Thanks for the input, everyone.

I prefer the italics in C. I think in this context they illustrate the frantic squawking much better.
For me it's a toss up between A and C in everything else.

A is easier to read for me.

Based on feedback here and elsewhere I'm thinking it's going to be A, which is Chronicle by H&FJ. Glad this one worked out.

Well now tons of votes are coming in for B, stating that A is harder to read. Something about the letter-spacing of B rubbed me a bit wrong in large blocks of text like this. A side effect of that slightly awkward letter spacing might actually make for a more comfortable reading experience. Hmm.

The serifs have that hard angle that is far more interesting than the standard sloping ones in A and C. My opinion.
