File > Place the pdf. Then Object > Flatten Transparency
Check convert all text to outlines, convert all strokes to outlines, Clip complex regions...
That should do the trick if you can't just drag onto the AI icon.

When you zoom in, does the artwork pixellate?
if so, it's been bitmapped, so you won't be able to edit text as a layer.
If it's vectored, you really should be able to edit it in some shape or form, even if it's manually editing vectors or replacing with assets made in another file.

I tried dragging it into Illustrator and InDesign, no go. Oh well.

use flash-decompiler, export as .fla, then export that .fla as a .mov, import that .mov into AE, pre compose that layer then apply video copilot lens flare, but its very important to make sure the lens flare is the blue lens flare, then export that comp (which should only be 1 frame) as a .png, import that .png into Photoshop, name that layer "old comp" then create a new layer and rename that layer "new comp" and delete the layer "old comp", then save that file as new_comp.psd, then open new_comp.psd in InDesign, then recreate the document from scratch.
its a pain but it should work.

you can not edit the porn bush pics, but you can crop them.

Open it in Illustrator. If you're lucky the text paths will be whole lines. If you're unlucky they'll be chunked.
- if chunked, select it all and copy/paste into a new textbox. works sometimes, though the formatting wont be idealbaseline_shift

It depends on how the PDF was generated. If the PDF was created in InDesign, Illustrator or Word you should be able to copy and paste the text from Adobe Acrobat Reader and or Pro.
