  Can you suggest something similar but free (or really really cheap)? I love the look of H&FJ's Tungsten, but I'm not paying $500 for it.

  Depends on what weights you need and want, tungsten is awesome because it covers a range of weights and widths. Finding all that in a cheaper familiy will be very hard, but I think if you specifically want a couple styles it shouldn't be too hard?

  With 32 styles it works out to only $15.50 per font. That's pretty darn cheap considering the quality and workmanship that HFT put into their fonts.

  Amicus – If I could buy just the 3-5 weights I want at $15.50, rather than 8 for $200 (which works out to $25 each, fwiw), this wouldn't be an issue, I'd have bought them instead of starting this thread.

  Looking for a free or cheap multi-weight (doesn't have to be 30 styles, but more than 2) font in the style of Tungsten (e.g. condensed/narrow, sans serif)

  I've found one that makes H&FJ's price look reasonable:

  The Skyline styles are what I'm looking at.

  The whole thing costs $1,225, but there's no way to buy individual weights.
