"In a tragic turn for the world of electronic music, German producer Pete Namlook, who founded the Frankfurt label FAX +49-69/450464., passed away suddenly last week on November 8 of as-yet-unspecified causes. Namlook was reportedly 51.
His daughter Fabia explained in a statement to Resident Advisor, "It is with much grief that we announce the passing of Peter Kuhlmann, AKA Pete Namlook. We are still shocked and are working on an official announcement that will follow soon to bring clarity to our minds. As word spreads on the internet more and more we just want to make clear that he died peacefully from as yet unspecified causes on 8th November 2012. We will announce more details as and when they surface."
Namlook was involved in well over a hundred albums over the course of his career, many of them collaborative. Artists he worked with include Richie Hawtin, Atom Heart, Karl Berger, Klaus Schulze, Mixmaster Morris and many more."
