damn I wish I could go with you. Two years ago I helped on a chase and spent the night at Mike's Sky Ranch, have you ben there?
One of my friends builds custom jeeps and has supported a team there a couple of times, maybe even drove in it.
I haven't been to Mike's yet. But I have been around it a ton of times. We are always chasing, so I never get to sto places while the race is going on. I just can't wait to get south of San Felipe and start the real trip!
I will be in San Jose for 1 month and try to learn to catch some waves... you should came down man!
Nice lexicon. When you headed down and are you running all the way to the finish? Just got all my info, chase truck picks me up wednesday at 7 am and we head to Ensenada to watch the start and make sure our class 10 gets off the start okay.
So you are at Mad Media? I met one of your guys at the Farmers Market in Little Italy about 2 months ago.
Good luck down there and if I see any of your crew around I will be sure to introduce myself.
if you guys haven't seen Dana Brown's documentary Dust to Glory you're missing out.
this is a bunch of clips of the film with some music added by a random youtube person
does anybody know the best links to follow the race and possibly live video? HQ video of course.
I would think the guys a Red Bull and GoPro have a nice production going by now, I would love to see some innovative filming of the event.
So i have like 20 rolls of 200iso color film that expired in 2003 and I'm thinking about documenting this whole trip on that film and seeing what happens. I am almost positive the film was not stored properly but am thinking it may work as a good experiment. Also, the light leaks and such would only be perfectly fitting for a baja feel.
Any history shooting really old film and getting at least usable results?
Tomorrow morning i will be gone. Off to La Paz I go. Don't ask for me in Loreto or Scorpion Bay. I will be busy. Chasing. Doing work. Sniffin race fuel. Getting brown buggers, and smiling the whole time. Later folks. Hope to see you on the other side.
