  Hi people,

  Obama eh?

  Anyway, I've been given the unenviable job to play a load of "classics" at an upcoming Christmas party.

  I don't want to play cliched and, frankly, shit stuff like YMCA, Proclaimers etc. Am looking for good remixes of familiar songs that aren't done to death.

  Some stuff along the lines of this would be good:

  I know I know, but it is still awesome

  Elvis (first christmas album, from the 50s)
  it is all awesome, both the spirituals and the standards

  Johnny Mathis christmas (58 album - around there)
  The definitive version (imho) of Winter wonderland, among others...it just feels like christmas hearing it

  Chet Atkins christmas (early to mid 60s)
  all guitar, in the unique, Chet Atkins way....so cool
