Metro inspired? lol because masonry layouts of coloured boxes haven't been around for years have they =_= Don't be brainwashed into thinking Microsoft has done anything innovative at all - they have simply jumped onto a layout trend that's been particularly alive in web design for the last 2-3 years or so..

It'll be funny when we start browsing websites on an iPad that looks like Win 8.

From what I've seen the interface is pretty cool. I just don't like the idea of being locked into such an in-your-face color palette. What if you don't want pink/green/blue/purple all the time?
- filter it out, it's meant to denote categories, etc.prophetone
- filter it out? what does that mean? If they're used to denote categories, then what is pink?monospaced

- Oh, I get it. I just don't like the idea of a palette being imposed so harshly. It's really intense.monospaced

I got asked to do exactly the same last week...the client liked the 'big, simple, rectangular icons'...
Hay caramba.
