Skip Tennessee, Indiana and Mississippi
San Francisco is amazing (don't EVER call in San Fran BTW)
Louisiana is fairly depressed...New Orleans is cool...but small

Interesting you chose the most violent areas of the country to visit.
Be careful!

Tennesse is beautiful in the fall. Just depends on what you like, really. Give me TN over San Fran any day.

Don't waste your time in the most depressing, racist, and ignorant parts of the country (aka) Tennessee, Mississippi and or Louisiana unless you are attending a Tea Party meeting or plan on joining the Ku Klux Klan. As for Indiana, by pass and head to Chicago. San Fran you will love!
- san fran will love your assmonospaced
- NEVER call it San Fran!!!!! Marychain will kick your assgoldieboy
- San Fran is perfectly fine, actually. It's "Frisco" that drives the locals nuts.monospaced

- "San Fran" is not alright. SF is the only abbreviation.kota

Go to New York and apply to open an Islamic Cultural Center...see how the land of the free allows you to be neither hopeful or brave.

This is all great advice, probably.

Yeh, do it - if you're coming through Missouri (unlikely), then give me a shout. America has fantastic cities, all similar yet unique. A great countryside, too, from sprawling suburbs and exurbs, farmland and forest and wilderness - it's possible to not see a fence for hours, even in town. It's all as valid and worth seeing as any other part. Take state routes, not the Interstate, go into little towns and see the (sometimes) immaculately kept little squares with their 19th century buildings in all states of repair, in others see the desolation and charity shops left in the wake of the Walmart out by the highway, see the industries old and new, go to the mom and pop diners and the chains - you could spend your whole life going places you've never heard of and only scratch the surface. People are people, there are only regional and subregional tendencies to certain traits, and not everybody has those. Good folks everywhere - in the country, in the hills, in the bars and in the store. Don't rush, meet people and listen, stay for a while.

So uhh, what's the best site to get flights around the US?
Flying SF to Nashville.

You're going to get shot. I can feel it.
Its your destiny.
I'm never wrong about this sort of thing.
