meh what ever! I don't think it will matter. Most of the time the people who go there don't even get out of their cars.
- I don't people who there actually leave their cars at all. Perhaps to go to the toilet. Or maybe not.qTime
- haha my fiancees german relatives thought Americans were so lazy for wanting to go through drive throughsHijoDMaite
- so there we were sitting inside In N out like ididots and I kept thinking how much better it would be to eat this while watching Sportscenter in my living roomHijoDMaite

The old logo was definitely too cluttered
- agreed, but the new version isn't the solution.bulletfactory

If Romney becomes President, he'll make abortions like this illegal.

probably could have done something a little nicer with the apostrophe.
Is the apostrophe a different color red or is it just my eyes?
- definitely feels brighterbulletfactory

Smart update. Wish some of the spirit of the flourish under the previous wordmark could have been worked into the update, but all-in-all a nice next chapter.

The lost the Old Fashioned

dislike.
the idea of having "old fashioned hamburgers" is great. fast food is this american 50s idea. wendy's at this point could be a frozen yogurt stand with that logo and i wouldn't know the difference. but the signage / type treatment on the old logo just makes it feel like a place to eat.
(this coming from someone who hasn't eaten fast food in years)
- agreed. However it is better than the Arby's re-dodorkKn1ght

Wendy needs DSLs

The wordmark could use a little depth – borrow the shading from Wendy's hair and use it to round out the letters a bit.
Kicks the ass of Arby's new logo.

A step in the right direction but I kinda liked the western style font, it gave it more personality.

i like it.

I agree the old branding needed some streamlining, but I think the new font is garbage. I would have liked to see them keep a touch of the "Old West" style.

Still looks Ginger!

I love the new illustrated Wendy. The type however feels really rushed. I absolutely hate the 'd'. It seems like someone just screwed up on the color of the apostrophe, it's definitely brighter. The mis-color on the apostrophe makes me think this was rushed for a press release. Hopefully they refine the type before moving forward.

How does this sit in a sign? The old logo WAS the sign.
- in a USToday style circle of course. Or a GAP like square.TheBlueOne

Problem: our food quality has gotten dramaticly worse from a decade ago. We've exhausted the goodwill of our customers who remember wendy's having a quality product. As a result, fewer consumers are chosing Wendy's hamburgers today.
MBA Solution: let's update our logo to signal to consumers that we've changed, while keeping everything else exactly the same so as not to offend current customers.
- I don't even eat there but their commercials have touted their food changes enough for even me to be aware of them.monospaced
- I am under the impression they have better food than their competitors, but I still don't eat fast food.monospaced
- all lies, I fell for the commercials too. exactly the same if not worse.monNom
- Wow. I didn't realize you did a thorough breakdown of their food. Please share your official results.monospaced
- Well I did. Official result: cold and oily.monNom
