- for those who have seen them live over the past 2 years, this may be familiar - it's a full two part piece that used to be called "behemoth"colin_s
- Fuck yeah thanks!moldero
- meh... their old stuff is way better. This new album and the last one are pretty boring to me.benfal
- Benfal sound like a hipster.

They cut corners with the CD packaging this time.
I was going to buy the LP seen as its not like I listen to the physical version anyway but the shipping was more than the actual object so nah.

after a couples of listening I can tell that last album is really boring.
All their previous stuff is waaaaay more good.

It's been two years since I've posted on this site. But that GY!BE has motivated me to sign in to say I wholeheartedly aprove of everything that this band is.
In addition to A Silver Mt. Zion, you must also check into Set Fire to Flames.
Carry on.

So great live, but if their shows a decade ago are any indication you can REAL safely skip whatever opening act they dredge up.

this is a pretty good representation of the a/v stuff that goes on during the shows, and not a bad capture of "moya."

So excited. Photos I took last year, hometown, 3-night run of shows. Amazing.

the name "Godspeed you! Black Emperor" was originally the name of a Japanese documentary on the Bosozoku back in (1976) which the band named themselves after.

One of the best live shows I've ever witnessed.

Anyone who criticizes instrumental music, even in jest to get a rise out of people, needs to slap themselves.
