  To be considered suitable for Agency employment, applicants must generally not have used illegal drugs within the last twelve months. The issue of illegal drug use prior to twelve months ago is carefully evaluated during the medical and security processing.

  The drugs issue counts 80–90% of designers out. The medical and psychological evaluations rule out 80% of the remainder. Extensive background checks rule out a few of the remaining.... No wonder the CIA has such a bad website ;)

  I have two close friends with this exact job. The CIA came to my office for the background check which was kind of crazy. They say it's a normal corporate design job, but I still like to think they're secret government assassins.
