    Hello Guys,

Is there a reason when I get an email I get this on Mail on my laptop. But then if I forward it to say gmail it shows correctly?

What would be the reason I get all this?

    > Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii"
    > Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
    > Content-Disposition: inline

Is there a setting I have to click in the Mail software?

    Thanks in advance

Easy fix: Don't use Mail. Use gmail instead.

    Yeah true.
But I would like to know why this happens with some emails, if anyone knows.

Does it have to do with the preferences in Mail?

You probably just need to adjust your settings to be able to view emails as HTML

I dont know how people manage their emails on a browser window. I need a native client. That being said, is this for all your incoming emails? or just some?

Make sure message->text encoding is set to automatic.

Send a plain text email to yourself and see if it comes through fine.
    New mail->Format->make plain text.

that should help to see if its a issue with html rendering.

    BTW im just guessing here.

    • What if you're on someone else's computer and they don't have that same email client???CanHasQBN1/2
Browser email is so much easier. Your email is always accessible from anywhere.CanHasQBN2/2

I think the email gets corrupted when a pdf is attached.

It seems to happen or it has been a problem right?

Happens to me too. Email gets corrupted, but only in Mail. If i login to Gmail i can get the email in it's proper uncorrupted form, then usually have to forward it to myself to get it back in a readable format in Mail. No idea why it happens, but I seem to remember reading it was some IMAP / Mail / Gmail incompatibility / corruption but never found a solution. If you figure anything out, let me know!!

we use google business apps. i dropped using Mail because it was a waste of space on my computer.

now the idea of having a second programme to read mail just seems weird.

It's a bit like using a second fork to eat your dinner.

mantrakid and everyone, I think this problem with mail and gmail is being ignored.

    Check this discussion https://discussions.apple.com/th…

And I couldnt really find a clear solutions with google. https://www.google.com.au/#hl=en…

Some users have tried doing the Mailboxes > Repair options and sometimes it works for some
