NICE.
Sampling reminds me a bit of amon tobin's bricolage. But more late night smooth driving d'n'b feel.

Cool stuff! When are you doing another mix? That 'Flexing heat' one was great.

what you using to make the tunes on?
- BANKattack0
I'll try and get a mix done this wknd. Produce mainly with Reason. Thanks for listening!
- and me - you are getting nice results - are you mastering within reason?fadein11
- yes - it took many years for reason to catch up, but it's much better
BANKattack - mastering is a cinch and i get good results.BANKattack

like the guitar and bass, and the flourishes... the trickling stuff.... the electro-drum beatbox was too spiky for me, but that may be just my headphones....

not being an aficionado at electronic music (if you'd call this that), what's the deal with the acoustic guitar track (@beginning and @ 2:36). Is it deliberately put there out of time with everything else (and with itself as a loop) to unsettle the listener? Sort of like a 7th chord creates a need for resolution?

i like fucking around with people, yes.
This is getting signed for the b side to high and low - forthcoming on textures music group: http://soundcloud.com/sambank

- is this a common practice in electronic music?locustsloth
- to be honest, it's eq'd to fit on top and actually is matched in bpm, maybe not exact match to other part
BANKattack - fast part: 174bpm 4/4
guitar part: 60bpm 4/4, but loops midway between the 2nd & 3rd beat of the second measure.
locustsloth - Not sure how those two line up in any way, but again, it's not my genre. But that's why i was asking questionslocustsloth
- same song sampled at the same pitch so the bpm should be identical, regardless? Either way, it worked out, ya know!BANKattack
- IMHO the guitar part doesn't fit and distracts from the rest of the piece, which is nicelocustsloth
