Froome will win a Tour. Voeckler was impressive - he's my favorite active cyclist. Sagan, Cav, and Greipel all got their fair share of stage wins, that was fun to watch.

It's as much a part of a real summer as Wimbledon (and the first 2 big brothers).

Ha! My wife thought the Tour was a "loop" around France in which they rode every day until they were too tired, then camped or stayed in a hotel or something and just got a few hours sleep, then back on the bike to ride some more. Seriously, I am not making this up.

Hoping for some action in the mountains today but not holding my breath.

Spartacus is a beast!
7 secs on his closest rival in a 6.5km prologue! #BEAST

Yeh he totally smashed it. Would have been more interesting if Martin hadn't had to swap bikes.
Good start for Wiggo though, got a little time on Cadel.
Was just reading that the first stage is right up Phil Gil's street, if he can turn his luck around..

ALLEZ WIGGO!!! He's Up there with the British sporting greats.
First British winner of Le Tour de Fance, for me it's up there with the '66 wold cup, the '03 rugby world cup, Steve Redgraves haul of gold medals etc.
I know that's subjective, but I've been watching this event sinc the mid 80's when my Dad would force feed me the race every evening and this feels like a very special achievement in the context of British sport.

SUPER CAV!!!

what a rider!
It makes me laugh when you still read here and there that he is only good when he has a train. This isn't the first time he's done this but it was a pretty amazing ride in the last 3km from the missile today.

2012 the year where the Brits discovered the Tour de France because Wiggins is maillot jaune and will certainly?
But remember, a race only ends when crossing the finish line.
Hopefully, this craze is only a start and it is rather good that Brits enjoy watching and supporting this race.
Tomorrow Champs Elysées - usually great views of Paris with the aerial cameras.

@laurent
The mainstream British discovery of Le Tour is one of the most important things about Bradley's achievement. Hopefully it will have a trickle down effect in years to come with more and more people using bikes on a more regular basis.
As for the race not being over till the finishing line tomorrow, when was the last time the jersey changed hands on the last stage? I can't remember it happening in my time watching, but you're right, he might drop his champagne glass under his wheel and break his collar bond again!

HOW'S THE LATEST NEWS: Five former team-mates of Lance Armstrong have made a deal with the US Anti Doping Agency to admit they doped in exchange for damning testimony against him.
The deal offered by USADA will slap a six-month sentence on Levi Leipheimer, Dave Zabriskie, Christian Vande Velde, George Hincapie and Jonathan Vaughters,
