The Creator was pretty good. Not great, but solid.
- Visually incredible, story was a bit all over the shop, but was cool to watch the behind the scenes showing how it was shot on quite a small rig.PhanLo
- It looked better than a lot of multi-hundred million dollar productions.i_monk
- It was a good 1 time watchYakuZoku
- ^defo i_monk really good vfx integration. I always hope things like that would push more indie shorts but it still takes a lot to make themPhanLo
- Allison Janney should do more genre roles.i_monk
- It was much better than what I expected.utopian
- I enjoyed it but the 2 teenage lads I saw it with moaned about it ALL the way through which kinda spoiled it for me, but I'd watch it againGardener
- It was far superior to Rebel Moon, saw both over the weekend.

- Bruce must be low on cashcannonball1978
- Because Bruce Willis is known to be highly discerning in his roles. You probably can't name any of the 6 films he did in 2019.i_monk

- I rarely don't finish a movie I start. This was awful. I think they thought that spilling stuff in the camera lens counted as special effects.lemmy_k

Not sure I'll bother with Raised By Wolves s2 after that finale.
- I'm midway through the finale now. I've been mostly interested by the story but can easily see the wheels coming off.MondoMorphic
- omfg, the wheels came off in the first episode with the crusaders vs atheists crapmonospaced
- I need to watch the last episode again. Felt really pissed off the other day by that ending.Ianbolton
- Scott's lost it. I should have known better after Prometheus and Covenant.i_monk
- Similar to Devs: more fiction and less science towards the enddrgs
- Well, I enjoyed it.DRIFTMONKEY
- The show is stupid and tries too hard.cannonball1978

I'm starved for sci-fi and the moment so I tried Kenobi last night and barely finished the second episode. It's terrible.

I enjoy Tales From The Loop, still I can't help feeling the series are a lot of style over substance. The whole Stålenhag aestetic (which i absolutely adore otherwise) seems tacked on, inconsequential to the stories. A lot of gorgeous visuals, slightly dull storytelling, all slathered in well-composed melancholic music. I'll finish it, probably enjoy it, but probably forget all about it.
For fans of Stålenhag, have a look. Otherwise, i suggest checking out "Devs". Bit of a similar vibe, but with an interesting story.
- Devs is great. Tales from the Loop had a flavour of 'Dark' which i also think is awesome.Morning_star
- Loved Dark.
2 episodes from finishing Devs.
Struggled with Tales From the Loop, less of a binge than the other two...Bluejam - Also, Devs is 8 episodes total. Love miniseries.jagara
- Tales from the loop didn’t quite hit the mark. Felt flat.thumb_screws
- I love Tales from the Loop.Ramanisky2
- I watch this when I have trouble falling asleep.bezoar
- I gave up on Loop after four eps. The one with the time-freezing dildo.i_monk
- Dark added to watchlist :)jagara
- Dark >>> Loopi_monk

- I liked David Lynch's version. It stands on its own. I'd also love to see Jodorowsk's crazy interpretation. The original story though was larger than both.collarup
- did you like the syfy remake? some prefer it over lynch'sscarabin
- i like lynch's because i grew up on it, but understand it's a little slow and can be hard for some to followscarabin
- I did like the SciFi version, despite the limitations of the budget and tech. Dune deserves to be a sweeping epic.i_monk
- a trilogy would be badass. or a seriesscarabin
- I love the Lynch version but those fighting scenes are hilariously incompetent. It really needs to have someone treat it like the epic story it is. It would bezarkonite
- especially relevant today given the environmental aspect of the books.zarkonite
