The punishment should fit the crime.
He should have his face removed.

99.875% of Americans don't know who Picasso is anyway

Don't panic.
They'll be able to get the spray paint off and restore the painting.

And for all the people freaking out about the painting not being covered, that's how museums and art galleries operate, on the basis that 99.9% of visitors want to enjoy the subject, not deface it.

Street "artists" are getting pretty fucking desperate these days.

Hes a cunt for violating the trust the museum had in displaying it openly. A prime example of the few ruining it for the many, the little cunt.
He should be made an example of, really.

I've seen lots of Picasso's, and they just aren't that spectacular in real life. I mean, the Art Historical significance is one thing, and his tremendous influence is another thing that makes him great. But his paintings generally don't look so good. They don't have a lot of impact in real life.
It's kind of like seeing Greta Garbo at 85 years old, walking into a grocery store. You'd go, "Wow! That's Greta Garbo!" But she wouldn't look all that sweet. She'd just be another really old lady.
People see a Picasso and they go, "Wow! That's a Picasso! Can you imagine how much that is worth?"
But the aesthetic experience is not so intense.

^ you think a painting is really worth tens million because of aesthetics???????????
Paintings are just like status symbols.
- No, most paintings are worth a lot of money, not because of aesthetics, but because of reputation.boobs
