I've used neither, but in my last contract I switched from HTC to a Samsung Galaxy S2 and I really like Samsung's UI.
I vote for the S3.

Poor battery life on the S2, but I solved that with a big aftermarket battery that also made it have a noticable weight (good thing as it was too light otherwise).
Don't know that the life is like on the S3.
No problems other than that except that Steambirds caused CPU lock... I just go without that game though, regrettably.

iPhone 4S if you want your phone to be supported for more than 6 months.

its a tough choice, but i think the galaxy range are pretty flawless and probably the best android handsets out there. I do love the HTC build quality though.
I still like how when you ask between a One X or S3, you still get the "buy an iphone!!" response. Anywho I suggest you "buy a watermelon!!".
I'd go galaxy s3.
I'd also check out technobuffalo on youtube, they do decent tech review vids. Mobiletechreview is great, but they dont have any s3 vids at the mo.

• Two week sound my Galaxy to gazelle.com
• Returned to my iPhoneThe moral of the story...
Both Android OS and the Galaxy phone blow monkey balls!
