I use a wacom intuos 3, its old now but wouldn't think of replacing it.
Could be worth checking out the Monoprice if you're in the states

I work with a guy that got the Monoprice one, he likes it a lot. I don't know if he has used an intous tho for compare capability. For the price tho... its worth a try. I don't like the bamboos at all compared to my Intous.

Intuos 3 medium here too. although sometimes I think I should update, but it works well so why bother.

I sold my intuos3 6x11 for $200 on ebay after I picked up an intuos4!

Been on Intuos'es since their first one. Have a 3rd generation at home and a 5th at work. Yup, bow down to my Intuos powers and awesome know-how:
They're all pretty much the same.
Especially to me as I never use the buttons, strips or wheels.
The 5th one have "gestures", but no matter how much I try to get into it I simply can't. It's all gimmicks to me.
My recommendation: grab an Intuos. Any flavour. It's the standard, they work, and the competition from other brands isn't really there just yet.
