My old falling apart wallet, made by "Lorenzo, Paris."
Vintage. Bought from a used items shop in Tokyo.Would love to buy a replacement but all the wallets these days have terrible UX, the coin holder opens upwards:
Whereas my trusty Lorenzo nails the UX and opens side ways.
The main direction to open a billfold wallet - to gain access to credit cards and note -is to open the wallet by unfolding sideways.
So it makes sense to have the coin holder also open sideways. The same UI method, you can quickly open wallet for coins, or for cards all with the same hand movement.
- True that. Nice wallet..set

Physical buttons outperform touchscreens in new cars, test finds
- from my personal experience as well - turning up the stereo volume using a knob > using digital slide-up BS thingyKrassy
- Surely this was already common knowledge?monNom
- What about voice controlled?
'Car, blast the f*ckin horn at this c*nt!'microkorg - the touchscreen in my car isn't too keen on my driving gloves, steering wheel controls for the winimbecile

Chrome browser always FELT super light and paper thin.
One of the super minor changes in the latest upgrade is the rounded corners of the URL address bar and its light gray background. Because of that, now the entire browser experience feels to me as heavy as Firefox.
Such MINOR change has such a MAJOR effect on usability!
- This should go in the "signs you're getting old?" thread.ShenanigansTV

- When's the last time you heard a young person express a browser update and how it feels?ShenanigansTV
- as a matter of fact, last week at a UCD meetingKrassy
- You're describing your perception of Chrome, not its object usability.MondoMorphic
- whose perception should I describe? :-) I am reflecting on its object usability as gathered by my own experience with it as a user.Krassy
- I like it.notype
- I imagine younger people comment on browser updates far more than older people.... ?set

The UX part could be done by one person, and the UI by another. Although one could do it all, there's a difference. UX will define how it works, how we interact with it. UI will style it, define how it looks.
- explain further, pleezealicetheblue
- Then, if there are two people doing this, where the fuck does the ACTUAL designer come into play?monospaced
- lol monospacedalicetheblue
- Better done by one person, IMO.ETM
- Always thought the UX "experience" styled it. The "UI" comes from wireframes, etc, which define workflow.Peter
