Hello,
I am thinking about moving to Stockholm / Helsinki and would like to know what are some good agencies / studios to maybe look into working with. I appreciate your suggestions!Tack! / Kiitos!

Have you been to either place... Stockholm is an expensive place to pick up a move too :)

I have been to Stockholm and Helsinki. Love those places.
That's why I want to find a job so I can move there :)

I saw their site just very recently! I can't really figure out their aesthetics... Good to know that they're nice people though! :)

what kinda´ design are you interested in doing? network-agency/independent? XXL/small? There are alot of great agencies in sweden.... gimme some input and try to help you out.
and btw, pick this up before you move here
http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Xeno… I always give a copy to americans coming over, helps with all cultural differencies

Thanks, ArchitectofFate!
Yeah I would prefer a small studio / agency. I can do either / both print and digital. But maybe a bigger / more global company is the (easier) way to go?

If I was moving to Helsinki I'd look into http://www.activeark.com/

Have you been there during winter? In spring/summer is truly amazing, but when the -20C kick in, you will want to be elsewhere (or so the locals say). I must confess though it is still on my top list of cities for re-location.
My impression is that Finland has a smaller local-based economy, where Sweden (particularly Stockholm) is more international.
Good luck with you move if you decide doing it.

i would think stockholm has more jobs ^ and yeah it's more international
great city too, that's where i'd go

I was in Helsinki a few months ago, and it seemed like the companies there were all very eager and open to have international employees. I just need to know where I would like to work.
It gets really cold and depressing in the winter here in New York. The difference is that things work properly in Sweden / Finland, and in New York there is too much crappy stuff that people have to deal with.I guess I am just done with New York and need to move to a nicer, calmer place.

Hey, #ArchitectofFate,
Got any suggestions for me? :)

on it!

I lived 5 years in Stockholm and I would say it's probably the most cosmopolitan city in Scandinavia. However it's not the cold that's the city's biggest disadvantage (Usually stays around 0 C during Winter) What's really depressing is the darkness, From Nov-Feb the days are really short and it certainly effects the people living there.
Good luck
