Are places like Ready366 design offices or more Strategy/PR firms?

I'm confused by sites with low-res images (http://www.ready366.com/article... lots of writing, big clients, but no real work samples.

The site isn't polished enough to tell me they are "above" websites.

The fuck is up with image-based news headlines:

I'm just curious why Coke, Lee and Frito-Lay hired them.

    Never heard of them.

They could be good at what they, but maybe they are just a start up with experienced people.

It's exactly like this "new agency" [that shall remain nameless] I recently worked with on a site. The guys had between 10-20 years of experience each, dealing with big brands while working at larger agencies like DDB. They knew their shit, but that was strategy, brand positioning, copywriting... but not so much design. And they too were into that sustainability stuff like those 366 guys. They took some good clients with them after leaving their jobs, but the start was slow and a beautiful site wasn't their priority.

^ that sounds like the case here. Prob. just took clients from their old jobs and do something that I don't really understand.

Companies like this are nonsense. Lofty "strategy" work just seems like macrocreativity and talking big so you don't have to get your hands dirty.
