I thought it would be an amazing year, but it has been pretty shit so far...
I mean, not a catastrophe. But I haven't seen any aliens or a global spiritual shift yet.
On the other hands budgets are being cut and the economy is on one of it's lowest points.
I'm trying to keep positive though nevertheless.

I'm happy with the year so far.
I feel like my work-life is going much better than this time last year. Still working a lot, but not frazzled like I was last year. I'm doing really well in my job and see that people are recognizing and noticing that.
We FINALLY started planning our wedding and are getting married in less than a month in Ravello, Italy. Spending a week in Italy, then a week in Paris. Can't wait - very happy and excited.
Almost done with our kitchen / living room remodel.
Misc things: Excited for Prometheus, have to make sure we see it the night it comes out; we leave for Italy the next day.

i have been kicking ass and taking names..
apart from having a few cool projects to work on..
i have got funding from 2 different funding bodies, in 2 countries..
shit load of new equipment and as of july, a studio space to work in.. all because i wrote good grant applications.
on the downside tho, my dad has all sorts of cancer ..
