So this is story: I bought a domain name back in 2005 and used it since 2011. The domain name is very similar to the one a regional bank has (ex: mine is abc.com their is acb.com). In the last 3 years i got 5 emails on my info@ account from their customers asking for info and one email with an attached doc with all the personal info, including account number and signature. I always replied to them telling that their were sending to the wrong address. Now, since i don't need the domain name anymore i thought i could make some real money by contacting the bank and ask if they want to buy it. But i'm afraid to do it .. i don't want to have a call from their lawyers and starting a dispute. So .. what should i do?

sell the info in the attached docs.

They can't really do anything legally to you if you're not using the domain name as a false representation of their business. You just happen to own a domain that is similar to theirs. No harm no foul.
That said, I've never sold a domain name, but there are surely lots of resources on the internet to assist you. If the domain is simply a wrong spelling of the company, it's probably not worth a whole lot so hopefully you don't plan on making mad bucks off it :)
- Also its not your problem customers send you info. That's their fuck up.ifeltdave

Do an auction with a reserve price ($4k or whatever you want for it). See if you get any attention. See if they happen to have your domain on a watch. They could already have an interest and you don't even know.
Good way to feel the waters without committing to anything. GoDaddy and other larger domain services have auctions for minimal costs. Plus, if you get the reserve price great, if you don't you still have your domain.

Prior to approaching anyone about the domain make sure you have the correct contact info at your registrar and use escrow.com during the transfer. Have the buyer supply you with the complete purchase price and THEN start the transfer process.

It is tricky. If you offer it to the bank for sale, you might easily get accused for typosquatting and lose the domain. Tread carefully.
