Funny you should ask. I was working on a project not two weeks ago requiring Gotham. There was no way to go about it other than looking at a free or usable alternative font-face-able solution...
We presented these to the client but in the end we opted for Arial.I'll speak to the lead designer on the project and see if I can find out what those fonts were.

Ah great i swear i thought it was possible to do this webfonts.fonts and i sort of promised the client.
Why is HFJ not on board with this....

To be honest I think that there is a purchasable license, not 100%, I've emailed my guy.

Proxima Nova from Typekit is a half-decent alternative.
H&FJ are working on a webfont solution as far as I know. It has been implemented in a few places; http://kottke.org/12/03/kottkeor… for example. Looks like it will be pretty solid when it comes out of private beta.
- We used the same for a client site last year, it worked well.ben_

- Will be awhile before they achieve this.jtb26

yes proxima looks solid although im still not a fan of using two different typefaces one which has been approved for print and a different one for web.

This is solid as well mostly for headings

I would also suggest Proxima Nova. It's a gotham nock off, but it'll do. At copy size it's a pleasant and readable type face. It can fall apart at display sizes, kind of depends on the weight.
- Proxima was designed before Gotham. They were inspired by different stories. Neither is a knock-off of the other.Typographica

Museo Sans is also quite close. I've used that as a sub for Gotham on sites.

I had to replace Gotham Rounded and used Bryant, which is pretty nice, though it definitely has a bit of a different character.
