Hello,
Using Adobe software what is your normal workflow for editing video. Im just getting into it and wanting to put together a short video made up of clips from my last snowboarding holiday.
Is it right to get the composition sorted in Premier Pro and then do all the post work in After effects?

I prefer to do everything in after effects. Just because of preference of interface.
After effects is known to be petty poo at exporting h.264 though, so be sure to export uncompressed then compress it in another software (handbrake for instance). Most people compress this way anyway last time I checked.
Enjoy!! :)

And yes you are right on your last sentence, that's the intended use of those 2 programs working together.

- it cooks lunch as well if you are nice to itloool
- for long comps with a lot of sound its better to use bothmoldero
- if AE was better with long clips with sound, Premier would be uselessmoldero

Don't edit with AE. I always edit in premier and do color, effects and stuff in AE. Make changes in Premier it'll change in AE, I go back and forth constantly.

what uuuuuuu said.
AE is pretty tough to edit in. It's just not made for it.

AE is a dog for editing anything more than a few minutes...
