If you look at the bottom you will see a texture bar.
Thats very realistic looking. Also this >
I realize photoshop is used to create this. Or maybe Maya? But does anyone have any sites that show the process of how to achieve this photo relativistic interfaces?
I would like to understand more about how these interfaces are created.
Or even this >
Look at the swirly colour effects in the background and the bright illumination. How are these looks created?
Thanks!

the site is just vector shapes with brushed-on gradients. use a large flat brush in photoshop to paint on a layer of light or dark directly above your shape, then apply your paint layer to the shape layer by alt-clicking between them on the layers palette. looks like some objects have a 1px "bevel & emboss" style applied to them, and some big soft dropshadows. add these in the "blending options" drop-down you get by right-clicking the layer.
your second example, the player, is basically just objects with a dirty texture thrown over them. build your layout using stock images or 3D renders (for the buttons, etc) and do the rest in photoshop. make sure you get your lighting right, then just filth it up with some stock textures

I always though this shit was cheesy, but I have been asked to do some very realistic work... Just wondering if anyone had experience with this type of task.

check out PS365 too, download some of the zip files and see how the layers/affects are used.
