Stoll's OT goal eliminates top-seeded Canucks
http://www.nhl.com/ice/recap.htm…VANCOUVER – All those tight, low-scoring games during the regular season finally paid off for the Los Angeles Kings when it mattered most -- in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Just as he did all season, goaltender Jonathan Quick kept the Kings in the game long enough for them to score just enough. Fourth-liner Brad Richardson tied it early in the third period and Jarret Stoll scored the winner 4:27 into overtime as the Kings eliminated the Vancouver Canucks with a 2-1 win at Rogers Arena on Sunday night.

I'd sure like to know what happened with the Red Wings though... :/

I would have liked to see Rangers in the final. Brodeur and the Devils don't need another cup, so GO KINGS!

So I watched my first hockey game in 20 years last night with the Rangers game and was reminded why I stopped watching in the first place.
To spend 2 hours watching guys haphazardly knock a little puck around, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth, back and forth............to only end up seeing a few scores is painfully boring. It's very easy to understand why this sport is not nearly as popular as the other main sports.
It would be much more interesting if the puck was metal and there were magnets in the sticks.

^"haphazardly knock a little puck around"
Someone here has clearly never skated or tried to play hockey before. Try it sometime. You'll be shocked at how incredibly difficult it is.
