How can anyone in the ad world bare to watch this? Unless I was on it :)
- when was it on? i do want to see itteh
- Well if you want to work 90 hour weeks and go to watch shit head ad agencies pitch and not show the reality of how much work goes into a pitch then you should watch.rson
- really goes into a pitch and all the bullshit back and forth with account.rson
- sorry venting. It is just so fucking fake.rson
- I like how they have to add the background and family life into it to make it look "real"iheartfun
- oh sounds pretty bad, i remember when miami ink was good until they had to add drama to itteh

The Brief
"Create a rallying cry for Type 1 diabetes that targets people of all ages, encouraging them to donate money to help support continued research on the disease."Good thing Bozell had a backup to "I don't <3 TOD", because that ship was sinking hard. Their backup "ONE" has been done time and time again but they answered the brief and it seemed like the kind of thing a non profit would jump on.
MUSE's "One less prick" went for the younger demo...I think they were very close with the idea but the time constraints forced them to go with an unpolished idea. Unfortunately those designs needed a ton of help so that probably aided in the loss.
P.S. That strategy guy from Bozell was not being a voice of reason he was being a total dick.
- I would have never walked into a meeting with the creative MUSE had.calcium

If you ever watch tv or look at magazines, aren't most of the commercials just stupid or boring? This show explains why.
Some of these agencies do "political ads" or work for companies we never heard of. They dream of working on car insurance or Kia.

When the season premier is for a company run by jocks called "College Hunks Hauling Junk", you just know the show isn't going anywhere.
- Actually that's a well known company.monospaced
- They would have taken any reasonable solution though. It was lame.freedom
- They're not a kind of client that exactly needs something brilliant.freedom

This show makes me think you should have to pass a test to be in advertising.
So anyone with a degree from any school in anything can open a design "agency" and pretend to be a designer and expert on marketing?

Who follows Little Caesars on social media anyways?

I seriously hope that guy did get fired because that was just unacceptable and doesn't make it look like they are a team at all to the client.

I watched the Gibson guitars episode and was shocked at how inept both agencies were. Like, these guys have nothing going on. Fuck all. No ideas, no talents. And everyone involved was humourless and boring.

So much vomit. How do these ad people sleep at night?

They got to start showing more of the final work and less about women crying. No one is going to be invested in a person that only appears on one episode. Project runway has a long discussion about everyone's work.
RIP The Pitch.

I felt like that one girl from McKinny needs to work on her idea selling, it's not that they are bad ideas – she just doesn't do well at presenting them.
zAMbies was good, but I think if they ditched the AM and just called them Breakfast Zombies and featured actual zombies in some of the print work they were mocking up – they may have stood a chance.
I'll probably tune in to this show for a little, it's nice to see how other agencies work. Especially since I just moved on from an advertising environment.
- "actual zombies" - meaning lifeless breakfast seekers.tasty

Is it just me or does the client always pick the shittier of the two?

I think this show is very good, alot of it feels very real. I loved the whole showing the food issues which creatives went through, this is hell anyway, finding a new way to do this, very few ways of doing it right - pleasing the customers, the clients, the cd's and at last having some "creative" integrity.
One thing i don't understand how wrongly the experienced cd's from mckinley acted, these people should have years of experience yet they react like empty bitter addicts, only looking to score that client.
One thing that feels staged is the announcment of winners. Maybe i have limited experience in this field, but it never works this way, you usually have to wait for days of weeks before the client makes the final decision.
This makes me think that the client has already made his choice before the presentation even begins. Also makes me think if the presented campaign of mckinley will ever see the day, or will there be something completely new, tested, safe and secure.

- Typically by the time an RFP is won and the campaign is out. The idea is wasted away.rson

Any of you watch the last episode? These heart-wrenching emotional bits are pathetic. I'm a sensitive guy, but guess what: some dad that has to work a lot on a fucking ad pitch isn't a hero. He's not a doctor saving people. IT'S A FUCKING AD PITCH. They make it seem like he's going to be gone for months. Working late, and working a lot isn't special.
