Get a 2" hitch mount welded on the SOB. You're not going to get a good non-hitch rack that hold 4 bikes otherwise. You'll rip your van apart with all that weight.

in Portland there's a place called ReRack that specializes in used racks for everything from kayaks, bikes, snowboards, etc, etc.
I'm not sure if any other towns have anything like this but it's super cheap compared to buying new and is a great business model for towns with a big outdoor lifestyle community.
