Has anyone any experience of, or know any good wedding trees - the things guests make thumb prints on, adding leaves to the tree?
I'm making one but finding it hard to find anything that isn't the same as the next.

I'm not familiar with this but, for some reason, would feel a bit of hesitation to leave my fingerprint.
We had a silver tray and a diamond-tipped pen and allowed our guests to sign their names, etching it into the tray. You could employ something similar with a tree-style setup.

I feel like a vector tree and some spacing is all you need, besides a nice stock to print it on.

I was recently at a wedding where instead of a tree it was a drawing of the couple holding a bunch of balloons. They had ink pads of all different colors and each thumbprint added a new balloon. I had never seen anything like that before and I thought it was a cool idea, but getting the ink of your thumb is a bit of a pain. Sorry, no pics.

So I thought about this a bit.. and if you care...
maybe pre-arrange the tree to allow the families to fill themselves in, then make the guests into birds or something. use a different color for each family then a different color for the male and female guests (birds) so 4 colors total for leaves and birds.
...or some derivative thereof of this idea / theme
