- Inbed Font.pillhead
- it's a PDF default to embed the fonts, and it's a good thing. Outlining type is bad.monospaced

ahhh the acorbat version issue sounds very promising!
Thanks everyone! and thanks 23kon + doesnotexist! From now on do you think it would be wise to save in the earliest acrobat version i can?
- for that client yes, otherwise i try to use the newest until shit like this happens.doesnotexist

id find out what version of acrobat your client is running too as 9 times out of 10 glitches that happen to the client are usually faults at their end.

It is a font issue. Try using a different Helvetica, like Helvetica Neu, if available...
- ...or not. I don't know what I'm talking about.Mr_Right

I've done stuff before and things have shown up on screen but not printed, i think it was white text and there was some setting somewhere that I had to change to make it printable.
Can't remember what it was, sorry.
I'm sure one of the Print Designers around these parts will help

Sounds like your font...

Yoooo qbners,
I'm running into a problem with a pdf.Its just a simple text document using helvetica. So in Illustrator I convert it all to outlines and save as PDF. (smallest file size)
This way it should print and display fine on any machine regardless of the installed fonts (at least i thought so).
But people are showing me print outs where some letters (not all) are missed. Which to me doesnt make any sense. If it was a font embed issue that displayed no characters at all I could understand, but it isnt a font embed issue as its completely outlined, just shapes in a PDF.
Anyone tell me why its happening?
Thanks all! :)
