I know the question sounds stupid but I'd help me to know a straight answer, "buy it" or "dont need to buy it"

Buying? Fonts?

Hi folks,
At what point in the design of your branding do you purchase the font that you are using? For example, I'm using Archer family throughout my portfolio, resume and website; but I haven't used it in any colateral (business cards, self-promotion shits, etc).
Do I still need to buy it even if it's just for my portfolio presentation?By the way, I grabbed the Archer family from work.
cheers
