InDesign Question: Baselines

Does anyone know how to make your baseline grid apply to the pasteboard? I'm dealing with digital magazine content that will scroll (yeah yeah, I know, it should be HTML5), and the overall design depends heavily upon a baseline grid. If a text box is completely off the page, i.e. on the pasteboard, it loses its grid alignment.
Is it even possible to fix this?? It's driving me nuts.

Lemme back up, since this is such a niche discipline...
Digital magazine plugins for InDesign let you create a frame in which text can scroll, much like a website. Scrolling content can drop off the page and extend to any length.

Just figured out a workaround, on the odd chance someone else does this sort of work.
Cmd B > Baseline Options > Use Custom Baseline Grid > set to increment that matches the layout grid.
And now it's snapping to attention, no matter where the box lives.

Hehe.
I'm using the Woodwing plugins right now. About to switch to this new Woodwing + Adobe DPS alliance in a month or two. Best of both worlds.
