My 17 year old cousin recently alerted me to a crazy Adobe sale for students and teachers. Using his student ID, we purchased a full copy of Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium for $90 (photoshop, illustrator, bridge, indesign, dreamweaver, flash, ect). Or get Photoshop cs5 Extended by itself for $39 and some change.
Way worth it to have a *real* copy for that price. Time to call your cousins and borrow some student IDs.

'...until March 3rd it's just $39.80 with discount code "SAVE80EDU.". To qualify for the discounted pricing you need to be a student with proof of enrollment... '

Enjoy! If you make a successful purchase, share here, so we can see a tally of the validity of this offer

When working in higher-ed I used my educational discount all the time.
That's how I could afford to get the design premium years ago.... But my wife has actually won the master suite on 2 different occasions at conferences over the past couple of years, so I've been lucky.
You can also get 10% a various clothing stores with a valid university id or edu email address.

Technically that's still an illegal copy though, right?
Unless, of course, you are actually a student.

Update to your link....
"Update: Unfortunately, it appears that Adobe is no longer accepting the discount code, even though it originally wasn't supposed to end until March 3rd. We've reached out to the company for comment and we'll let you know when we hear official word on what happened here."

wasn't there recent talk about pay as you go cloud usage? I don't freelance enough to justify buying a new version every year. I think I still have Cs3 at home.

dayum. that was quick! haha.

"buying a new version every year"
Why would anyone do that? What can CS5 do that CS3 either can't or won't let you mimic?

you realize using a student version for professional (paid) work is the same as having a pirated copy, right?
- you realize most of us have never bought a copy, and having a CD and a real code is nice.TheAnthonyWallace

I bought one of the CS 5.5 suites not sure which one, design premium maybe, for 60€, its retail price was over 2000€.
Adobe employees "friends & family".

The University I work at gives full CS5.5 licenses to students. I'm part of an incubation company so I'm ineligible but I believe the license is the full license not a non-commercial-use only one.
