Ok the other topic was a great help to me. On to another subject.
Some people believe in destiny and fate, that things happen for a reason.
Others believe that things just happen without reason, due to chance, circumstances, hence why good things can happen to bad people, and bad things to good people.
What sort of words/phrases are used to describe the latter half? The more abstract the better. Even words or sayings in latin are fine. I'm also looking for this stuff myself, but the more people I can get ideas from the better.

There are many words that describe this... like, life happens haphazardly. But as a complete belief system that revolves around "chance". Hmmm, got me stumped on that one.
Destiny would be that the man drives the car to the edge of the cliff.
Fate would be the passenger in the car that is driven to the edge of the cliff.I think that if someone believes in "chance" then they don't believe in freewill, which is pretty damn hard to explain because it won't make sense.
Good things happen to bad people, and vice versa, that's more about luck and fate.
Most people have their destiny until fate causes an accident, no?

Freewill gets more into religion, no? People that believe in freewill do not believe that anyone is pulling the strings, that they are free to do as they will.
I always thought that people that believe in freewill would also believe that events occur just by chance, not predetermined destiny or fate.

I brought this up to my father who is very religious, unlike myself, and asked him why if god is controlling everything, do good things happen to bad people.
His response was something like the devil is also at work. O_O

I've never associated freewill with religion, but I'm sure some people put their FATE into god and therefore lose their freewill, however, it is still their CHOICE to do that... so there goes freewill blowing up in our face again.
This is a fun little clip -

Discrdianism may or may not be something you are looking for.
"The Aneristic Principle is that of apparent order; the Eristic Principle is that of apparent disorder. Both order and disorder are man made concepts and are artificial divisions of pure chaos, which is a level deeper than is the level of distinction making."
